Family Literacy Day is on Tuesday January 27th which which celebrates the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. This year, the theme is “Make Mealtime Family Learning Time”, where families can think about ways to be make meals a fun and engaging learning experience. Some activity ideas include making recipes together, exploring nutrition labels and writing grocery lists. Families may also wish to join author and Family Literacy Honorary Chair, Barbara Reid in a virtual workshop as she demonstrates how to use clay to make a picture. The event will occur on Thursday January 22, 2026 at 4:30pm. Register early as spaces are limited.
